Local Northern Cape football club, Best Candidates Rangers, recently received a much needed sponsorship from De Aar Solar Power, who have committed to supporting them for the next three years.
The sponsorship agreement covers soccer kit, transport, tracksuits and training equipment, as the football club enters the Regional League for the 14th year. Forty players, together with their Chairman and Team Manager, Thamsanqa Cube, visited the solar facility to be kitted out.
“We are so pleased to have this opportunity to make a contribution towards youth development and making a difference in this community through supporting sport. We wish them all the best for the year ahead“, said Hlengiwe Radebe, Economic Development Director of De Aar Solar Power.
Many of the players are from the community of Barcelona, close to De Aar, and under the age of 21. The Football Club has been running for over 20 years, with the aim of developing and improving the sports skill of the team players.
